Requirements to Use the Car (“Froggy”)

• You must have a valid driving licence.

  • A clear photo or scan of your licence must be provided before approval.

• You must legally be allowed to drive.

  • By booking, you confirm you have no points on your licence and no bans or restrictions.

• You must have insurance that covers you to drive Froggy.

  • This can be your own existing insurance (if it covers you for third-party use).

  • Or you can get a short-term / day insurance policy before driving.

  • If you can’t afford insurance, mention this during vetting — help may be available depending on funds.

• You must treat the car responsibly.

  • It’s a free loan, not a rental.

  • If you break it, you pay for it (fair wear and tear is okay).

  • Refill the fuel you use before returning the car.

• Bookings must be made in advance.

  • If the date and time are available, you can request a booking.

  • All bookings are vetted — approval is at our discretion.

• You must return the car on time so others can use it.

• You must keep the car clean and tidy.

  • No need for a deep clean — just remove rubbish and leave it as you found it.

• Report any problems immediately.

  • This includes damage, warning lights, low tyre pressure, or anything that doesn’t feel right.

• No smoking, vaping, or illegal substances in the car.

• Only the approved driver may drive the car.

  • No lending it to friends or family unless specifically approved.

• Let us know if you’re struggling with insurance or fuel costs.

  • We may be able to help during vetting.

• If your plans change, cancel as soon as possible so someone else can use the slot.
